About Vending Machine Resource Store

Once you get your vending machine and location setup its more about scheduling and consistency. Once you've mastered those two verbs everything else is easy.

I’ve ran into a ton of people asking me how to get started in the vending machine business. While that answer may seem straightforward it’s a little more complicated than you think!

Before I started in the vending machine business, a group of us were working a 9-5 job and were looking for something that could bring us more income while sleeping. After brainstorming, bored on the job, and I started looking on youtube for passive income business ideas, I thought vending machines would be a good idea. After searching through the Facebook marketplace I bought my first combo machine.

I haven’t had any experience in the vending machine business but decided to give it a try. Having no clue how to get started, the machines, unfortunately, sat in my garage for a couple of months. Eventually after finally researching and making a couple of calls I had my first location.

The location was a youth hockey ring which did very well revenue wise but a problem came upon us sooner than I thought it would. Due to the constant usage of the machines I ran into daily issues. The combo machine I placed in the location wasn’t built to handle the foot-traffic the location was getting. This was mistake number one I made which was not selecting the correct machine according to foot-traffic and possible daily usage. Eventually I was asked to have our machines removed out of the facility and the machine was sitting back in my garage. Only thing I did somewhat right with the hockey location was with the contract I wrote and even the contract could have been written a little better.

Fast forward a couple of months later I was able to place my vending machine at a Red Cross building. Though traffic/sales were hit or miss due to scheduled nursing classes I finally learned from my first mistake which was to place the right machine in a location, along with having a properly written contract as well. There are many other initial steps that should be done when starting a vending machine business. This is why I decided to create this website to share as much of my knowledge with you as I can.
